Saint Germain Catering Hires New Team Member to Oversee General Operations
Saint Germain Catering, a Northern Virginia catering company, hires Miaeng Griffin as Chief Operating Officer
Miaeng Griffin, the new Chief Operating Officer at Saint Germain Catering, was hired a few weeks ago to help oversee the overall operational responsibilities for the food and catering division as the company continues to expand and grow its current client base. Griffin will be responsible for overseeing a group of catering managers and will have an opportunity to provide her expert input into the long-term strategic plan for Saint Germain’s ongoing success in the DC Metro area.
Griffin comes to Saint Germain from Ernst & Young, a multinational professional services firm headquartered in London, England. The company is one of the “Big Four” accounting firms in the world. At Ernst & Young’s Virginia branch, Griffin was a supervising associate and meeting planner for the Northeast region, and she was responsible for executing mid-to-large-scale client events, including off-site team building, executive round tables and alumni relations activities. She was responsible for coordinating the logistics for national and area firm meetings as well as negotiating rates and contract terms that were favorable for the company.
Griffin has experience in event planning as well, having spent 10 years between 1994-2004 as the Director of Conferences & Special Events at International Televent, Inc, where she created, implemented and measured the success of planned events. Following this, Griffin worked as an Events and Conference Manager for Science Applications International Corporation, where she managed all of the on-site logistics involved with meetings and conferences.
Saint Germain Catering is excited by the wealth of experience Griffin brings to the table with regard to overseeing and coordinating multiple events and facilitating proper communication channels between the levels of management. When it comes to the special events that customers of Saint Germain host, Griffin is responsible for the day-to-day execution of catering appointments. Given her work experience with event planning and coordination, Griffin will be able to contribute to Saint Germain’s overall strategic plan for success.
