While most catering companies only work to fill catering orders and host events, Saint Germain Catering of Northern Virginia continues to work for a purpose. Saint Germain Catering was founded 20 years ago by Mina Ebrahimi with the vision of making a difference in her customers lives and the surrounding community anyway she could. Fast forward to present day, and Saint Germain Catering is the largest woman owned catering company in the country and continues to give back to its loyal customers and surrounding community day in and day out.
The values that Mina founded her company on are still the core of the business and are instilled in each member of her team. As the Saint Germain Family continues to make the commitment to be a responsible member of the community and work to make a difference, their involvement on causes both locally and nationally do not go unappreciated.
Over the years, Saint Germain has supported local community and charitable causes such as feeding firefighters during September 11th, donating proceeds to Hurricane Katrina efforts, supporting various events for Operation Homefront and sponsoring non-interventional veterinary research at the University of Pennsylvania’s School of Veterinary Medicine. The list of causes Mina has contributed to is long, many of her contributions going unrecognized for her efforts. Mina has continued to use her platform to support causes that are near and dear to her heart to make a change.
This month, as Mina & Saint Germain celebrate twenty years in catering they are not holding back from giving back to their loyal clients. In addition to offering the SGC Rewards Program which allows clients to earn rewards for accumulating points they can put towards Gift Cards, Saint Germain is offering clients the chance to win Washington Nationals Baseball Tickets, Wolf Trap tickets and dinner and various Gift Cards. Giving back to customers is a daily occurrence for Mina and team, but as the anniversary approached they knew they wanted to make the month of May extra special.
Spreading the love and giving back is crossing the county lines as Saint Germain is supporting two Fauquier County organizations. As baseball season quickly approached, Mina and team decided what better way to Give Back to the community than to support children. The Saint Germain team created and marketed their SGC Baseball Themed Cupcakes and are donating proceeds to a local baseball team the 13U Blue Ridge Titans. In addition to the gracious donation, Saint Germain sponsored a local event to support The Northern Virginia Therapeutic Riding Program, providing lunch for over 200 attendees during the “Life’s a Picnic” event hosted at Ellway Hall, the Warrenton home of Will Thomas and Barry Dixon. The event raised funds to support “Build to Thrive,” NVTRP’s capital campaign to construct a new indoor riding arena and twenty stall barn.
Making a difference will continue to be a passion for Mina, she believes that as a company there is the responsibility to do what is right, not only for the business but also for the community in which it serves. Saint Germain’s actions demonstrate its values.
